Research Overview

Dr. Constine's primary interests include (a) characterization of normal tissue damage following cytotoxic therapy, emphasizing pathogenesis and interventional strategies, (b) development of treatment approaches for childhood Hodgkin's disease, and (c) development of treatment approaches for children and adults with recurrent Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In this regard, he is the chair of the Hodgkin's chain of the Lymphoma Committee in the Southwest Oncology Group. He participates on numerous national and international committees relating to the creation of guidelines for the screening of chronic side effects of cancer therapy.
